Improving your flexibility for ballet as an adult is POSSIBLE and you can do it too, regardless of age, body type or current physical condition.

Did you know that leg stretches in ballet don’t have to be painful if we learned how to relax our muscles at the right time?

Stretching your legs, opening your hips and mobilising your overall body just like a ballerina can be easy and pain-free.

But I was so shocked when I received messages like these:

I though middle splits were impossible for me, I'm so inflexible!
I'm an adult and I will never get my flexibility back...
I feel ridiculous for wanting to get back to ballet because I'm terribly inflexible!

If you believe that too, don’t worry,

YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE.

let's see where you are at

IF YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM:

LET ME GUESS… THIS IS AFFECTING:

  • Locked up hips that don’t let you achieve your splits.
  • Lower and upper back pain when sitting or standing.
  • Pain when you try to stretch.
  • Tight muscles that won’t let you lift your legs higher than 45/90 degrees.
  • Fatigue finishing any ballet exercises.
  • Cramps during and after your ballet class.
  • Not being able to turn out (en-dehor) properly.

LET ME GUESS… THIS IS AFFECTING:

1- Your posture, 2- your ability to plie, 3- Your leg extension above 90 degrees, 4- Achieve the full splits side and front, 5- Moving towards more advanced poses, 6- The ability to practice ballet effectively

Let’s fix all of the above, shall we?

Breathing coordination plays a major role in our exercise, and if done properly, we can finally feel our body, and especially our legs and hips, elongating, opening and letting go of all the tension accumulated during the day.

BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL.

I want YOU to get your flexibility back, your femininity, your ability to dance freely, to achieve a better posture and feel MORE like you again.

Pinpointing where your blockage in your body is, first.

Ballet movements are not only statics, the key is to combine strengthening and stretching at the same time.

Working deeply on ALL the muscles that are involved in your range of motion.

Unlocking your “second brain”: Your SPINE
Yes, the spine doesn’t bother the brain for flexibility problems. If there is a blockage somewhere it won’t go away until the spine says so.

Stretching alone can be counterproductive. This session is designed to first unlock the part of the body that keeps you from freedom of movement: the spine.

Reactivating key flexibility muscles.
The sedentary life has weakened your flexibility and sitting caused 3 key muscles to shorten and not function as nature intended to. We will reverse this process.

Once your body has been reset to be mobile again, we’ll start working on reactivating the foundation of your flexibility focusing on every part of your legs.

REGAIN CONTROL AND POWER

AI Stretching
Once All the blockages in your body are removed, it’s time for your muscles to receive Active Isometric Stretching, which will retrain your muscles to the new boundaries of extension.

The center of your body is the most important. When it’s locked your body cannot express itself. This session is all about gaining back control and mobility of your hips.

Do I need to be flexible when I start ballet?

No, you don’t, the nature of movements in ballet will automatically help your flexibility and range of motion the more you do it.

But... we know that there are people with very flexible muscles and ligaments and those that need to work a little harder to achieve a full range of motion.

Flexibility is an important aspect of both ballet and everyday life.

A flexible body has a positive effect on your health and overall well being.

The Benefits of Being Flexible

BACK & KNEES HEALTH

Tight hips, blocked upper and lower back affect your posture, your jumping posture, standing, and even lifting. If our body has tightness in any part, muscles will try to compensate by either letting other muscles work more and in an unbalanced way or by stopping you from moving at all for safety.

REDUCES INJURIES

If your spine and your hips are properly aligned and mobile this will give your basic movements patterns freedom. If your body is mobile and flexible you’ll be able to protect the knees and the lower back in the long term.

EASY BALLET

Half ballet steps require flexibility and mobility, and if you are suffering through certain poses opening up your hips, mobilising your back and improving your overall flexibility will make you enjoy your class more, get access to more advanced poses and steps combinations, as well as stay committed long term because you’ll see yourself progress.

BETTER POSTURE

A ballerina elegant posture is noticeable miles away, and flexibility can give you that strong look too. Your posture will improve when seated at the office, in your running, during jumps and stress will ease off.

MORE TURNOUT

Achieving splits and flexibility in ballet will give you also the opportunity to release tension from your hips and let your legs rotate from your hip sockets more freely. This means that ill will give you the possibility to improve your turnout without forcing it into place and avoid injuries on hips and knees.

MORE POWER MORE SPEED

A well balanced flexible body is the key to letting muscles contract and release with ease,  meaning the reaction in jumps, high kicks, and big leaps will be more powerful and controlled. This will make your movements as fast or as controlled as you want, mesmerising to look at and look like you float every time you move.

BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE

Improving flexibility is not only good for ballet but it has a wonderful benefit in your everyday life too. Better quality sleep, posture, concentration and more.

Is this event only for adult dancers?
Even if you’re not a dancer, improving your flexibility
can have a positive effect on your body.

Being limber and keeping a good range of motion in your muscles and joints is important for your health and overall well-being. A good range of motion and flexibility aids in proper alignment of the bones as well as good posture.

When your bones are in good alignment, your muscles, joints, ligaments and vital organs can work as they are supposed to. And having a good posture encourages positive thinking, confidence and optimal functioning of the nervous system.

So feel free to join even if you’re not a dancer!

IT’LL BE A BEAUTIFUL DISCOVERY FOR YOUR BODY AND SOUL.
