I was born with scoliosis and, despite my body “limitations”, I’ve worked as a professional ballerina for 20+ years.
I wasn’t a naturally gifted dancer in terms of genetics. Shapes and lines of my body didn’t allow me to express the full range of motion humans are capable of, and I was in pain for the majority of my life.
Due to my back problems I had to work twice as hard to understand my body structure, and how to relieve my postural problems, by working on the right muscles to alleviate pain in my neck, upper and lower back and shoulders.
