Summer Recipes for a Beautiful Body & Glowing Skin
Jul 10, 2025
When I created the Weightless program, I had the help of a wonderful chef-nutritionist who supported my desire to create something both balanced and delicious.
Because as a good Italian, I don’t believe in “boring food.”
I believe in pleasure. In sitting down, even for a moment, and savoring something beautiful that fuels your body and lifts your mood.
These recipes are some of my favorites for summer, especially before or after a dance session when you want to feel light, vibrant, and energized without the slump.
They’re also super simple. No stress. No fuss. Just goodness.
🍑 Banana-Peach Smoothie
A fresh & summery treat.
Perfect as a snack after a short ballet flow or as a cooling pick-me-up during hot afternoons.
You’ll need:
– Bananas
– Peaches
– Oat milk
👉 Tip: Pop your fruit in the fridge beforehand for an extra-refreshing texture.
Blend everything until creamy and smooth. That’s it. You’ll be amazed how this sunshine-colored smoothie makes your body feel nourished and happy.
🍅 Zuppa Fredda di Pomodoro
A cold tomato soup bursting with Mediterranean flavor.
This is summer in a bowl: bright, fresh, and grounding. I call it my dancer’s gazpacho, because it refuels without feeling heavy, and is packed with nutrients.
You’ll need:
– 2 big juicy tomatoes
– Cherry/datterini tomatoes (save a few for garnish)
– Tomato passata
– Butter beans
– Onions or shallots
– Garlic
– Pitted olives or black olive pâté
– Water
– Extra virgin olive oil
– Rosemary, thyme, basil
– Smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt
Optional protein toppers: marinated tofu or a hard-boiled egg.
Steps:
-
Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil with rosemary and thyme until soft. Use a lid to keep moisture in. Remove the lid toward the end to let any extra water evaporate.
-
In a large bowl, combine chopped fresh tomatoes, a splash of passata, water, chili, paprika, salt, olive oil, olives, and butter beans.
-
Remove the rosemary/thyme stems from the cooked onion mixture and blend everything until smooth.
-
Garnish with sliced cherry tomatoes, tofu or egg, fresh basil, and a final drizzle of olive oil.
👉 Result? Cooling, earthy, gorgeous. Serve cold and enjoy the elegant simplicity of this Mediterranean classic.
☕️ DIY Coffee Body Scrub
A little spa magic for your skin.
You may not know this about me… but I love creating homemade body treatments. I have a thing for plants, potions, and the rituals that make us feel radiant. This one? A must in summer.
Coffee isn’t just for drinking, it’s also a natural cellulite treatment, lymphatic booster, and skin exfoliator. Plus, it smells divine.
To make it:
– Use fresh coffee grinds (you can recycle your morning espresso!)
– Add a bit of hot water to blend it into a scrub
– Mix in a spoon of olive oil/coconut oil /castor oil for softness
– Optional: Add a spoon of honey for extra skin nourishment.
How to use it:
Hop in the shower and scrub your body gently in circular motions. It’s a little messy, but so worth it.
Finish with alternating hot and cold water to wake up your skin and get your blood flowing.
Perfect for Smooth, glowing skin that smells like an Italian caffé. ☕️🇮🇹
